Show Not Tell

Standing in the queue waiting to buy  ice-cream, on a steaming sunlit day. Sweat dripped down my forehead slowly  as if the temperature had gone up. It felt like my body has been in a fire I said.”Phew finally I made it to a shady tree”.

The girl who save her dad

This Morning we all completed out first writing sample for 2013. I have posted it just as I wrote it in the 40 minutes that we were given, so that throughout this year I will be able to look back and reflect on the progress I have made in my learning. I will post my goals from this soon.

One day in a town called Monster High there was a girl called Jessica. She live with her father named Jack  and her big sister Katie. One day her father went missing in the morning before she woke up. She looked up stairs and in the backyard event in the basement but could not find him.

Jessica walked outside looking down at her feet feeling sad. Until she saw her friend Mary. Her down sad face went up as she saw her. Jessica ran to her excitedly and said have you seen my dad, Mary replied no I haven't sorry. Until an alien came from outta space and took mary from her feet and flew into outer space on their rocket. Jessica just made it into the rocket. She saw her dad, mary and her sister katie in a room. Next to there room was another room filled with explosions. Jessica had a plan to blow up the rocket and get her dad, mary and katie out and into to the exit rocket before they blow up. Jessica quickly ran and got the keys and open the room that her dad was in before the bomb went off. They all ran to the exit rocket and flew back to earth. Everyone was happy that Jessica save them.
