Grace Highlights

Sweat coming down my face as I went down the jump n slide. I flip onto my face, everyone laughed. I jump off and went to the Jousting bridge. I lined up and waited for my turn, I ran up the steps and look across to Ana.

Ana walked up to me all ready to push me off. Ana grabbed onto me and pushed me down but I pulled her down with me.

Me and my friend Ana and Annliz rushed to the Trap-eze. I had seen how high the Trap-eze was, my Stomach was rumbling with fear. Ana quickly ran into the line. I just watched her go up, she swang up and down then landed on her back. I didn't really had time to go on, all of us lined up and walked to the bus.

This year I've enjoyed playing sports and learning about new things. I especially love doing maths. I think that maths is really interesting, I love learning new things. I think that writing is what I need to work on more. My favourite sports is netball, because I like to challenge other people and learn some new things.     

Giraffe

The sky full of clouds. throughout the evening I started setting the table for my customers. My friend was helping me set the table. Kate was drooling while I was serving the delicious food on the table. Scooping the ice cream out for the dessert made my fingers frozen as ice.

Sweat running down my face because of the hot sun. I walked over to the window and opened it to let that fresh breeze in. I quickly walked up stairs to wash my hands, I heard three knocks on the door. “My customers are here Kate get ready” I shouted.

Just before I opened the door for my customers I quickly wiped my sweat. Kate power walked towards the door and introduced her self to our guests. We quickly took them to their table. “Would you like to order anything else” Kate asked the guests “No thanks, this would be enough” the guests replied.

As they were eating Kate and I were on our break and when we came back inside we got a fright because we saw two giraffes poking their head through the window, getting ready to eat our guests food. “ My guests please get out this is argent!” Kate screamed to the guests so then my customers took their food and dessert with them.

What in the world went on this week? Grace and Caroline

Earlier this week something incredible hit Pakistan this week. A major earthquake of magnitude 7.8 created created a brand new island.Meanwhile a massive cyclone hit India. Close to half a million people were evacuated from their homes in Eastern India because of the threat of the cyclone. Soon later a marine Science instructor found the carcass of a 5 metre long oarfish.

My Next Step-Grace

 Room 22 have been learning about different strategy's but the one that I am working on is Decimals. I have chosen this because I want to accelerate in it and I want to be better at it.

Little Red Riding Hood Fairy Tail.......

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Little Red Riding Hood who lived in the forest. She hated going outside. Her best friend was her phone and her laptop. One day her mother Helen ask her to walk to her grandma’s house to take a bowl of soup, because she was sick.  She said to her mother “why can’t we get a car or a bike” the mom said “because we don’t have money, we are poor remember ”. Little Red Riding Hood replied “ Okay mom”.

Little Red Riding Hood went off into the woods. Texting while not looking where she was going she bumped into a man, with a hairy face with blue eyes, a bold head and a basket filled with money. “Hello”she said looking suspiciously, he didn't say anything. Oops its getting late I got to go. While she was in a rush she bumped into to him again but, accidently picked up the mans basket and ran off. The suspicious man look into his basket “ahhh” where’s my money. The man was a bank robber.

He thought that if he followed her he would find his money, and find the girl. Little Red Riding Hood opened the door and saw her grandma in the bed but it really wasn't her grandma it was the bank robber. “Hi grandma” she said.      “hi “  said the robber. “ come here” the robber said” “okay” said Little Red riding hood, “ what a hairy face you have grandma” said Little Red. “better to warm your face” said the robber. “what blue eyes you got grandma” said Little Red. “ Its better because I like to be  pretty like you little red” said the robber. With a fright the robber leaped at her out of the bed! A loud noise out the back, a cop rushed in and shot him. The robber is down. The cops came running in as fast as they can. “ Thank you” said Little Red and the grandma.   

Grace Movie Refection

I enjoyed filming and looking at other peoples work. As well I like to film with my friends.  

I didn't like that we only have until Friday. Also I hate that we have to only edit on Friday. I lean to use garage band. Also I lean to film better

Jessica-Grace Argument

For:

Camp can give you a chance to be a leader. Also it is a great way to make new friends. Another reason for  having the camp is it gives us an  opportunity to participate in lots of different or new activities. Therefore we believe we should have a year 7 and 8 camp.

Para 1- chance to be a leader

Being chosen to be a  leader would obviously be an awesome opportunity to have. Well as leading a team you have to encourage your team mates to participate in every activity’s you do.

Para 2 - new friends.

Making new friends can be a part of your learning because using the 3’ps help you meet new members to (Participation,Partnership,Protection).

Para 3 - new activity

Also at the same time we are having fun  learning new skills like  how to bake,swim and even kayak. You might even  notice that you rock at cooking sometimes, and even want to show your experience.

Conclusion: We think that it will be a great opportunity to have a year 7’s and 8’s camp  every year because a lot of people can meet new friends. For some parents  there opinion is no because it to dare or they might get sick. But also its not fair that the year six’s and five’s go but not the year 7’s and 8’s.Therefore we believe we should have a year 7 and 8 camp.    

Softball

Wow! On the way to softball I had butterflies in my stomach. I talked to my friends about what we were gonna do when we get there. After that we got there we pulled out the bags and walked to the field. We had a little warm up before the game. The team had a little talk about what we are going to do when we are fielding. The horn went, we line up into our batting order. After all the games we had our finally we got to our last game it was a close but we still win bye one

Standing in the queue waiting to buy  ice-cream, on a steaming sunlit day. Sweat dripped down my forehead slowly  as if the temperature had gone up. It felt like my body has been in a fire I said.”Phew finally I made it to a shady tree”.

The girl who save her dad

This Morning we all completed out first writing sample for 2013. I have posted it just as I wrote it in the 40 minutes that we were given, so that throughout this year I will be able to look back and reflect on the progress I have made in my learning. I will post my goals from this soon.

One day in a town called Monster High there was a girl called Jessica. She live with her father named Jack  and her big sister Katie. One day her father went missing in the morning before she woke up. She looked up stairs and in the backyard event in the basement but could not find him.

Jessica walked outside looking down at her feet feeling sad. Until she saw her friend Mary. Her down sad face went up as she saw her. Jessica ran to her excitedly and said have you seen my dad, Mary replied no I haven't sorry. Until an alien came from outta space and took mary from her feet and flew into outer space on their rocket. Jessica just made it into the rocket. She saw her dad, mary and her sister katie in a room. Next to there room was another room filled with explosions. Jessica had a plan to blow up the rocket and get her dad, mary and katie out and into to the exit rocket before they blow up. Jessica quickly ran and got the keys and open the room that her dad was in before the bomb went off. They all ran to the exit rocket and flew back to earth. Everyone was happy that Jessica save them.
